Senior Food Technologist: Angela Sawyer

Angela leads the technology team and has experience in working in the food industry for 18 years. She has specific confectionery, meat and ready meals product knowledge along with experience of quality systems, product development and training.


Co-ordinator: Janet Jones

Janet joined the administrative team in April 2005 after working for the Health Authority in Carmarthen finance Department. Main duties include: overseeing Administration and Marketing, finance/budget work (purchase and sales ledgers), and the organisation of meetings/seminars held at Food Centre Wales


Centre Administrator: Irene Moyle

Irene commenced working at the centre in 2002, her role is to provide administrative support and co-ordinate all training courses held by the Food Centre. Irene previously held administrative roles within Local Authorities and gained experience working in the food service whilst running her own catering business.


Food Technologist: Rhian Jones

Rhian has over 11 years’ experience working across many sectors of the food industry. Since joining FCW in 2005 she has cultivated a special interest in meat and dairy technology working with clients to bring new products to the market place. In addition she has expanded her portfolio to become our CIEH Food Safety Trainer also encompassing our practical Butchery and Cheese making training delivery.


Food Technologist: Mark Jones

Mark is part of the technology team and has 14 years of experience in the food industry. He has dairy product knowledge along with experience of production, streamlining and upscaling, costings, quality systems, HACCP and product development.



Food Technologist: Gerallt Morris

Gerallt works for the technical team and has experience working in the food industry for 5 years, 1 year production based and 4 years Quality based. He has knowledge in the flavours industry, BRC, HACCP, Product recall and traceability. He is a Chemistry graduate from Cardiff University.


Food Technician: Ceris Moyle

Ceris joined the technical team as a food technician in 2014. Her main responsibilities include documentation and quality management systems. Ceris has a wide range of experience working in the food industry since 2002 and has worked in manufacturing, butchery and the retail sectors and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Business IT.
