At Food Centre Wales, all new clients begin their journey through our bi-monthly Start-up Surgeries. These sessions are free to attend and are designed to introduce you to the facilities, expertise and support available to help your business grow.

What to Expect

Each session includes:

• A short presentation from our Business Operations Manager covering:

  • How Food Centre Wales can support your business

  • The benefits of the HELIX Programme

  • A practical checklist for business start-ups

  • How to access market insight data

• A guided tour of our Innovation & Manufacturing Hub

• A 1-2-1 meeting with a Food Technologist to discuss your ideas and next steps

• Introductions from Business Wales and Cywain, with the option for 1-2-1 follow-up meetings

Session Details

• Sessions start at 10:00am and last around 2 hours (presentation and tour)

• Each business will then have a 30-minute 1-2-1 appointment with a Food Technologist

• A Business Adviser from Business Wales and a Business Development Manager from Cywain are also available for further meetings on request

• Refreshments and a light lunch are provided
