Food safety qualifications are intended for anyone working in catering, hospitality or manufacturing settings where food hygiene is essential as food is prepared, cooked, served or produced. Food Centre Wales delivers food safety, HACCP and practical training courses at the centre or at your own facilities for groups. Our experienced Food Technologists specialise in conducting a skills gap-analysis and develop training plans to deliver training that is specific to your staff and business needs. They can deliver in-house bespoke courses to meet HACCP directives to the meat, dairy and catering sectors. Basic meat and dairy skills can be studied and practically applied in our meat and dairy processing areas or at your own processing facility.

We have adapted some of our training courses into online virtual classrooms. The training will be delivered online via zoom and we have ensured we can still deliver the same level of training that meets all legal requirements.

The qualification is intended for those whose role includes responsibility for food safety and operational management responsibilities, and it is highly recommended that learners already hold a Level 3 Food Safety certificate, and have some experience of working within a role with awareness of Food Safety Management Systems. Take the hassle out of HACCP
We will be dedicating one day per month to a Practical HACCP Workshop. This one day workshop is funded through Project HELIX and is aimed at micro-businesses, start-ups and SMEs.
The practical, hands-on workshop will apply all the principles of HACCP to your specific process and business. The workshop can be used as informal training to demonstrate Continuing Professional Development, with a certificate of attendance awarded at completion.
Our technologists with extensive industry experience can help guide you and your business through the process of developing and implementing a HACCP plan. Our technologists can also review current HACCPs to ensure they are compliant.
As an added extra, you can benefit from an extra day with a technologist to review your newly implemented HACCP plan.
